It is The Best map app in China, the road are very precise, with real time traffic condition, perfect replacement for Google Map in China!
Thank you Baidu for making this happen. It is never been so easy to use a taxi and uber.
This app is a good one if you want to navigate around China. The only thing is you should know Chinese that is be able to speak Chinese. So you speak the destination and it will give me the options to find where you want to go and the different methods and the time that it takes to get there. My reading of Chinese is terrible but just by playing with the buttons I was able to figure out what I wanted to do.
Accurate location especially in China. This app is better than google and apple map in China.
I believe that baidu probably the best map app for using in mainland China. It offers everything you will ever need for navigating through any major cities by bus, subway, or walking.
Good to use in China and for Chinese, but not available anywhere else in the world . Stupid , I cannot even search Canada, it only show Chinese territory
Some bad moments
Its actually a nice app, but mostly useless without English language. You must ADD English!
A lot of crap bundled in the map while often got bad directions.
The one star rating is necessitated by the constant reminder to give this app great rating. But negative rating is not available as an option.
The shameless reminder and self censorship makes you feel Baidu treats customers like bunch of straw man only allowed to promote their brand. This coincide with experience using their crap search.
So solid one star rating, or lower if possible.
cant update to the latest version. the iphone 5could not install it after download

As a foreigner in China, this is my preferred map app. I could use Apple Maps, but I find that because Baidu is homegrown, it tends to have more accurate info and you can usually search by pinyin or characters. The caveat is that if you dont read any characters, it can be confusing at first; however, by my second week in China -- even without reading characters -- I knew how to catch buses and route myself around my city. Pro tip: Have a friend help you out and then memorize which "buttons" do what. That said, having English as one of the language options would make this a five star app for sure!
