I use this app when my taxi driver has no idea where my school is. The accuracy is relatively good for China. Just be aware that the map is only functional within China. On a recent trip to Pingxiang along the Vietnamese border, the map just vanished as if nothing was there. Then I compared to Apple Map and found that the roads only extended to the border. Other than that minor glitch this has served me well. Only functions in Chinese though. It would be good to have a multilingual menu option in future editions.

You can do anything from driving directions to tacking public transportation. Looking for a quick bite? Gas station? ATM? Someone to drive your car home after a few drinks? Pay a traffic ticket? Again, awesome app.

As a foreigner in China, this is my preferred map app. I could use Apple Maps, but I find that because Baidu is homegrown, it tends to have more accurate info and you can usually search by pinyin or characters. The caveat is that if you dont read any characters, it can be confusing at first; however, by my second week in China -- even without reading characters -- I knew how to catch buses and route myself around my city. Pro tip: Have a friend help you out and then memorize which "buttons" do what. That said, having English as one of the language options would make this a five star app for sure!
